Nienke started surfing at the age of 12 as a volunteer of the local lifeguarding community. She never stopped. Very soon she traded the cold North Sea for countries as Costa Rica, Indonesia & New Zealand and she was getting in love with 'the art of longboarding'. "Longboarding is about style and flow and you can put your own twist to it". After travelling for a long time, she became Dutch Champion in 2013 and reached the semi-finals during the biggest longboarding competition of Europe; Salinas Longboard Festival. Next to her big passion for travelling, she is coaching a young talented surfteam from Holland.
